Our client in the logistics industry, based in CENTURY CITY (CPT), is currently looking to employ a MARKETING COORDINATOR immediately.

Purpose: Responsible for managing the inbound and outbound marketing distribution to stores. This includes ensuring all marketing samples and products are distributed in a timely manner. The role requires close liaison with the transport department to maintain efficient distribution logistics.

Objectives of this role:

  1. Assist in developing and implementing the company’s brand strategy.
  2. Ensure that all marketing efforts serve immediate and long-term business goals by identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation.
  3. Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for program success.
  4. Compile market research, forecasts, competitor analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends.
  5. Support the development and maintenance of internal tools, including credentials database, trackers, global contact directory, and intranets.
  6. Build knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and share best practices and local marketing tactics with team members.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct research of market trends, customer behavior, and competitor landscape, and prepare reports by analyzing and summarizing data.
  2. Support the marketing director in establishing and evaluating marketing strategy by assembling sales forecasts, setting objectives, organizing promotional presentations, and updating calendars.
  3. Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to the sales team, and provide instructions for usage and promotion.
  4. Plan meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists.
  5. Maintain inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials when necessary.
  6. Continually seek new sources of prospective customer data and provide recommendations to sales and marketing leadership.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in marketing coordination or logistics, preferably within a retail or distribution environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with inventory management and logistics software is a plus.
