Together, we can build smarter, greener, and safer industries of tomorrow. As a Razor Labs Technical Project Manager, you will oversee technological projects within the mining sector, primarily at client sites across Africa, specifically in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

This role entails close collaboration with clients, ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Project planning and resource allocation
  2. Management of suppliers and procurement
  3. Interface with integrators and international teams

Your expertise in project management methodologies and technical understanding will be pivotal in driving project efficiency and excellence.

This position requires flexibility in working hours and extended periods on-site in the DRC (approximately 6–8 weeks per rotation), followed by a 2-week R&R period.

Key responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to define project requirements
  • Develop project plans and schedules, ensuring milestones are met
  • Ensure project deliverables meet client expectations
  • Maintain professional interactions with clients and keep them informed
  • Monitor site progress and coordinate activities
  • Prepare project documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure quality of products and systems
  • Identify risks and propose solutions
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum requirements:

  • At least 5 years of project management experience in mining, heavy machinery, or similar industrial sectors
  • Proven experience leading technical projects from conception to implementation, especially on-site
  • Instrumentation experience is mandatory
  • Experience with installations, integrations, and working with integrators
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Hands-on experience deploying technology solutions in remote environments
  • Technical problem-solving skills related to machinery, sensors, and data
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields

Preferred additional skills:

  • Experience in software implementation and sensor installations
  • Knowledge of SAP and data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications
  • Experience working in DRC is advantageous
