Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Senior Tax Manager responsible for overseeing indirect tax compliance, including sales tax, property tax, personal property tax, gross receipts, jurisdictional business taxes, and business licensing.
- This position reports to the Tax Director and collaborates with other tax seniors and accountants to ensure compliance across all company locations.
- Assistance with income tax filing may also be required.

Salary & Role Details
Salary: $90,000 - $XX,XXX, based on experience
Hybrid Role: 3 days in office and 2 days remote
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in developing and implementing indirect tax processes, expanding technical knowledge, and serving as a subject matter expert on indirect tax issues.
- Prepare and review sales tax filings for multiple states and entities.
- Assist with sales tax audits as the primary contact.
- Reconcile sales tax accounts.
- Prepare filings for gross receipts, B&O, and other business taxes.
- Manage property tax protests, payments, and personal property tax filings.
- Research various tax issues as needed.
- Correspond with tax authorities.
- Register new businesses and maintain a calendar for license renewals.
- Prepare ad hoc reports for management.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
Requirements include:
- 3-5 years of public accounting or indirect tax experience.
- Knowledge of indirect taxes, especially sales tax.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- CPA or eligibility to sit for the exam preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Effective team collaboration and initiative.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with Workday, Salesforce, and Vertex is a plus.
- Partnership income tax experience is a plus.
