Recruitd is seeking a detail-oriented Tailings Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg or Pretoria. The role focuses on geotechnical analysis, client engagement, and delivering rigorous technical guidance for tailings projects.

You will optimise designs, coordinate deliverables, and support health and safety initiatives while mentoring junior engineers and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree is advantageous.
• 5–10 years post-graduate experience in engineering and construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support and technical advice on tailings issues to clients.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables and procurement activities to ensure safe TSF execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to health, safety and risk initiatives.
