About the Role

You will lead the development and implementation of sustainable strategies, conduct energy modeling, and guide project teams in achieving high performance and environmental certifications (e.g., Green Star, EDGE). The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of sustainable materials, passive design techniques, renewable energy integration, and the WELL Building Standard. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of sustainable design principles and strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Professional degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on sustainable and green building practices.
• Proven experience with energy modeling software (e.g., IES VE, EnergyPlus) and certification processes (Green Star accreditation highly preferred).
• Deep knowledge of passive design strategies, renewable energy systems, and sustainable materials.
• Excellent understanding of environmental design principles and building science.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, suitable for remote client interactions.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote work environment.
• Familiarity with South African building regulations and sustainability initiatives.
