Placements24 is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Analyst for its Richards Bay operations. The role focuses on analyzing complex supply chain data, forecasting demand, managing inventory, and optimizing procurement to improve efficiency and resilience.

You will develop analytical models, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with procurement, operations, sales and finance to implement strategies that reduce costs and enhance performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations in manufacturing or distribution.
• Proven experience with advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, forecasting methods.
• Proficiency in SAP APO, Oracle SCM, JDA and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain operations (demand forecasting, inventory, logistics, supplier performance) to identify improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Proven experience with advanced data analysis techniques, statistical modeling, and forecasting methods.
• Proficiency in supply chain planning and analysis software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle SCM, JDA) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including inventory management, transportation, and warehousing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
