Job Purpose

  • To run the landfills to its highest practical standards in accordance with the permit.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Supervise, control and administer staff and attend to pay and leave queries and other personal problems regarding staff related members.
  • Controls the operations of the landfill by coordinating resources plant, people, materials, equipment and planning of activities and ensuring that the operations comply with relevant legislation / site permit conditions.
  • Actively promotes safety, environmental, accident and incident prevention in the working environment by accepting appointments as safety representative under the regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 / 1993.
  • Ensuring safety equipment supplied is full to its advantage, attending safety meetings and carrying out safety inspections to ensure a safe working envrionment.
