Job summary

Absa Bank in South Africa is seeking a Structuring Analyst to support portfolio optimisation initiatives within PPB. You will combine quantitative analysis, financial modelling and transaction execution support to inform strategic decisions.

The role requires a degree in a quantitative field and at least 5 years in financial services, with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent.
5+ years financial services experience advantageous.
Strong financial modelling and analytics capability.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and enhance financial, transaction and portfolio models.
Perform quantitative analysis to evaluate, structure and execute transactions.
Assist with transaction structuring, monitoring and post‑execution reporting.
Support capital, funding and portfolio optimisation initiatives.
Analyse portfolio risk, return, capital and funding performance to identify opportunities.
Develop quantitative insights into portfolio behaviour and credit performance.
Support stress testing, scenario analysis and forecasting activities.
Prepare analytical outputs and management information for stakeholders.
