Job summary

JVR Software in Gauteng seeks an experienced Purchasing/Procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing and manage raw material and packaging costs. You will negotiate locally and imported prices, optimize stock levels, and coordinate weekly production planning. Strong logistics knowledge and advanced computer skills are essential.

Role focuses on OTIF delivery, supplier contracts, and cost control while supporting working capital goals and financial reporting for site operations.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in purchasing/production environment.
• Diploma in procurement/inventory control.
• Qualification / experience in logistics.
• Computer proficiency – advanced.
• English mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing and strategic sourcing.
• Ensure raw material and packaging are purchased OTIF for production for JO.
• Negotiate raw material and packaging prices – local and import.
• Monitoring, control and minimizing inbound raw material and packaging costs.
• Process orders for Jhb import RM’s.
• Management of raw material and packaging stock levels to control working capital.
• Leverage company global purchasing power.
• Explore alternate raw materials / stock substitutes, packaging and suppliers.
• Obtain and tie in supplier contracts and agreements.
• Define and improve payment terms with suppliers.
• Implement and maintain preferred and alternate suppliers list and prices.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers regularly and act on findings.
• Monitor invoice accuracy to GRNs.
• Produce reports as required.
• Coordinate and oversee all site-wide stock takes outside normal hours.
• Weekly production planning meetings and reporting.
