Placements24 is seeking a Senior Corporate Communications Specialist for a well-established manufacturing firm in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will enhance internal and external communications, manage brand messaging, and support strategic corporate initiatives across departments.

The ideal candidate has excellent writing skills and 4–6 years in corporate communications, with experience across internal and external channels, content creation for digital and print media, media relations, and crisis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in corporate communications or PR.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to craft clear content.
• Experience managing internal and external communication channels.
• Proficient in content creation for digital and print media.
• Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement corporate communication strategies that align with business goals.
• Create content for press releases, internal newsletters, annual reports, website copy, and social media.
• Manage internal communication platforms to keep employees informed and engaged.
• Support the development and execution of public relations campaigns, including media outreach.
• Assist in managing the company's brand identity and messaging across all communications.
• Monitor media coverage and industry news; provide updates to management.
• Coordinate corporate events and sponsorships.
• Ensure all communications are accurate, professional, and adhere to brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with marketing, HR, and other departments for cohesive communication.
• Provide support during crisis communication situations as needed.
