Job Brief
- Review booked invoices from Oracle for each MEA entity in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region to ensure compliance.
- Review various tax schedules and data packs for monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual compliance reporting.
- Forward tax schedules to outsourced tax consultants for review and validation.
- Interact with in-country outsourced tax consultant teams regarding the review of tax data packs.
- Manage and respond to queries and feedback from the MEA Tax Management Team.
- Support MEA Tax Management in executing MEA region tax compliance.
- Review Trial Balances for all MEA entities to validate entries and completeness.
- Review expense and revenue General Ledger accounts across MEA Operating Units for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify Service Fee calculations to ensure alignment with Marketing and Liaison Agreements.
- Prepare revenue and expense projections for tax calculations such as Provisional, Instalment, Advance corporate, and final taxes.
- Collaborate with the MEA Controllership Team for trial balance validation and audit support.
- Support tax audits by handling queries from Tax Authorities and providing necessary documentation.
- Compile, review, and post journals in the accounting system.
- Prepare and review Tax Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Monitor expense and payment bookings for correct allocations.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders like AP, Payments, and Accounting to ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Handle audit information requests related to indirect taxes for MEA entities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements (CPI) in MEA tax compliance processes.
- Manage client expectations effectively.
- Supervise a team of 3 FTEs, contribute to performance reviews, review work, allocate tasks, and provide training.
