Job summary

Cytel Inc. is seeking a Senior/Principal Statistical Programmer (SAS + R) to work remotely with a major pharmaceutical client. You will independently manage programming tasks, develop SDTM/ADaM datasets, and produce complex tables, listings and graphs.

You will lead CRO programming activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to study reports and submissions while maintaining high-quality standards across therapeutic areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, or statistics preferred.
• 7+ years of experience as a Statistical Programmer on a Biotech/Pharma Clinical Development Biometrics Team or equivalent.
• Exceptional SAS programming skills and experience developing statistical programming procedures.
• Extensive applied experience with CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM, Define.xml) and FDA/ICH regulations.
• Experience supporting regulatory submissions and interaction with regulatory authorities.
• Ability to work independently and lead teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, plus leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Generate SDTM, ADaM specifications, datasets, reviewer's guides and Define.xml files for multiple studies.
• Develop SAS programs to create datasets, tables, listings, and graphs.
• Deliver high-quality SAS/R programs tailored to clinical development needs.
• Oversee CRO programming deliverables to meet timelines.
• Assist in clinical study reports, regulatory submissions, and exploratory analyses.
• Ensure compliance with GCP and FDA electronic submission guidelines.
• Contribute to standards for programming tools, outputs, and macros.
• Collaborate with CROs and vendors to meet project goals.
• Draft SOPs and work instructions for statistical programming practices.
