ICON plc is a world-leading healthcare intelligence and clinical research organization. We’re seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer to own development and validation of high-quality statistical programs in collaboration with biostatisticians.

You will contribute to regulatory submissions and ensure outputs meet scientific and regulatory standards, supporting the success of clinical studies and life-changing therapies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in statistical programming, ideally within clinical research or the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong command of SAS programming with a solid grounding in statistical concepts and clinical data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with strong teamwork skills and the ability to translate analyses into insights.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate SAS programs to support statistical analysis and reporting of clinical trial data.
  • Collaborate with biostatisticians to shape analysis plans and methodologies.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of outputs.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of developing and validating high‑quality statistical programs, partnering closely with expert biostatisticians, and ensuring our outputs meet the highest scientific and regulatory standards. Your expertise will directly support the success of our clinical studies and the advancement of life‑changing therapies.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Designing, developing, and validating SAS programs to support statistical analysis and reporting of clinical trial data.
  • Collaborating with biostatisticians to shape analysis plans, identify appropriate methodologies, and deliver reliable insights.
  • Conducting comprehensive quality control checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of statistical outputs.
  • Supporting the creation of statistical reports, presentations, and regulatory submission documentation.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance programming processes, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Your Profile
