Join Our Team as a Credit Controller

We are seeking a confident, committed, and experienced credit controller seeking a new challenge to join our growing finance team in Cape Town. You will manage invoicing and collection of hotel and lifestyle commission in EMEA, working with Ten’s booking systems to identify commission to be invoiced and building relationships with suppliers to ensure the efficient collection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of all EMEA supplier revenue debtors to ensure customers pay within agreed terms.
  • Chase overdue debt by telephone and email within agreed timelines.
  • Ensure that the escalation procedure is followed for overdue debts.
  • Deal promptly with internal and external queries regarding payment.
  • Maintain accurate records of follow-ups with customers.
  • Reconciliation and allocation of bank receipts against invoices raised.
  • Identify and ensure prompt raising of invoices for supplier revenue on travel, lifestyle, and ticket bookings.
  • Maintain accurate transaction postings to the sales ledger.
  • Work alongside a 3rd party collection agency to enhance collection of hotel commission.
  • Monthly reporting and ageing of commission debtors.
  • Monthly statement sent out to debtors each month.
  • Provide adhoc reporting and support as and when required.

Requirements

Your Profile:

Skills and Experience:

  • 1-2 years’ experience of credit control.
  • Basic Accounting & Credit Control Knowledge.
  • Collections & Customer Account Management.
  • Systems Knowledge - Exposure to accounting or ERP systems (Sage, Pastel, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills with ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to think out of the box and take initiative.
  • Effective organisation skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload.

Location

We are ideally seeking exceptional candidates to be based in Cape Town who are able to commute to the office at least 2 days a week.
