Senior SQL Developer

Location: Johannesburg

What You'll Do

1. Design and implement SQL-based solutions to support web and multimedia apps
2. Translate business needs into scalable data architectures and batch processing logic
3. Optimize relational database structures for large volumes of transactional data
4. Define technical specifications, identify project risks, and drive resolution
5. Collaborate in Agile (Scrum / KANBAN) teams and mentor junior developers
6. Support business analysts to ensure feasibility of functional requirements
7. Lead performance tuning, schema design, and backend integration activities

Your Skills

• 8+ years of experience in full-cycle development
• Advanced SQL (DDL, DML, JSON, XML) and relational data modeling
• Skilled in handling large datasets and incremental batch loading
• Familiar with DevOps automation and database optimization strategies

Bonus: Experience with Microsoft stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI)
