Senior SQL DBA Position

Our Client, leaders in the transport solution space, have an exciting opportunity for a Senior SQL DBA.

This is a permanent position based in Centurion, requiring on-site presence.

The ideal candidate will support end users with SQL Database management within the internal environment, as well as assist with data analysis and troubleshooting issues raised from applications.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Formal IT qualification (National Diploma / Certificate, CompTIA, Microsoft or similar certification) or currently studying towards a Degree / Diploma / Certificate in IT
• ITIL v3 Foundation certification
• Microsoft Azure and Office familiarity
• Own car and valid driver's license
• MCSA: SQL Servers or higher
• 5+ years' experience with MSSQL and PL/SQL

Knowledge and Experience

• Strong understanding of ITIL and SDLC
• Excellent technical aptitude with the ability to research and resolve complex issues independently
• Expertise in MSSQL from specific versions onwards
• Experience with MSSQL management, executing SQL queries, and log management
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Shell / Bash / PowerShell / PL/SQL / DBMS jobs)

Key Service Areas

• Deliver service in a timely and efficient manner
• Provide continuous support to KTC and subcontractors
• Collaborate with Incident Management, support groups, and vendors to ensure seamless support
• Participate in assigned project work
