Senior SQL DBA Position

Our Client, leaders in the transport solution space, have an amazing opportunity for a Senior SQL DBA.

This is a permanent position based in Centurion, being on-site. The ideal consultant would support end users on SQL Database used in the internal environment as well as support data analysis and troubleshooting for issues raised from the applications.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12
2. Formal IT qualification (National Diploma / Certificate, CompTia, Microsoft or similar certification) or must be currently studying towards completing a Degree / Diploma or Certificate in IT
3. ITIL v3 Foundation
4. Microsoft Azure and Office
5. Own car and Driver's License essential
6. MCSA: SQL Servers onwards
7. 5+ years' experience with MSSQL and PLSQL

Knowledge and Experience:

1. Sound knowledge of ITIL and SDLC
2. Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
3. Expert knowledge of MSSQL from onwards
4. Experience in MSSQL manager, performing SQL queries and log management
5. Experience with scripting and automation (Shell / Bash / PowerShell / PL / SQL / SQL / DBMS jobs)

Key Service Areas:

1. Provide service delivery in a timely and efficient manner
2. Ensure that there is continuous support provided to KTC and sub-contractors
3. Work with Incident Management, other support groups, and vendors to provide seamless support to customers
4. Participate in project work as assigned
