Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Sports Analyst to join a fully remote team, focusing on deep-diving into sports data to uncover trends, evaluate player performance, and provide strategic insights for franchises and media partners.

You will build predictive models, create data visualizations, and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders, collaborating with a global team while maintaining a strong emphasis on data quality and innovative analytics.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Data Science, Sports Management, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sports analytics or a similar data-intensive role.
• Proven expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and data mining.
• Proficiency in Python or R, and experience with SQL and big data technologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in a virtual setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth statistical analysis of sports performance data, including player metrics, team strategies, and game outcomes.
• Develop and implement predictive models to forecast game results, identify emerging talent, and optimize player development programs.
• Create compelling data visualizations and comprehensive reports to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders, including coaches, general managers, and executives.
