Job description

Role purpose : Responsible for building organizational capability through leading and driving talent resourcing initiatives to acquire the best talent for MAST Services (Pty) Ltd.

Collaborate with Leadership to understand their talent needs and align resourcing strategies to meet the people plans in a timely manner.

Deliver professional and relevant recruitment approaches and practices to drive a seamless experience for all stakeholders (recruiting line managers, candidates, etc.).

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
  1. Collaborate with the business to develop and cultivate excellent working relationships to build an in-depth understanding of requirements in order to plan sourcing strategies.
  2. Build talent pipelines for future needs.
  3. Lead and coordinate end-to-end talent acquisition services, including proactively communicating and updating key stakeholders.
  4. Consult with the business to support targeted attraction strategies based on business drivers/strategy, research, and analysis.
  5. Proactively source candidates via internal databases, alternative sourcing channels, referrals, talent days, and talent mapping exercises to meet client requirements.
  6. Provide market trends and analysis regularly, utilizing insights to influence recruitment plans.
  7. Engage with preferred suppliers where necessary and build relationships to deliver the right talent.
  8. Accountable for resourcing reporting, including performance analysis against KPIs and insights to shape the resourcing strategy.
  9. Provide an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  10. Assist with aligning and achieving Business Area Transformation targets through targeted sourcing and shortlisting.
Knowledge and experience :
  • Experienced talent acquisition specialist with managing portfolios of complex recruitment for demanding clients, with deep functional expertise.
  • Creative sourcing strategies for small to medium businesses.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Effective communicator who seeks insight into business needs and acts as a knowledgeable advisor, liaising and influencing at senior levels.
  • Strong networking skills, adaptability to changing priorities, resilience, flexibility, and energy.
  • Ability to analyze recruitment data and trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Experience dealing with tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment and managing complex roles and business areas.
  • Must have technical/professional qualifications: Matric/Grade 12, and a qualification in HR.
  • 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition.
  • Experience in developing and delivering recruitment strategies and processes.
  • Experience in research, market mapping, networking, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience managing vendors/SLA's.
  • Experience in Talent Acquisition with a PAN African perspective is advantageous.
  • Experience selling company's EVP as a total value proposition.
