Job description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled candidate to join our Reward and Global Mobility team as the Senior Specialist – Reward Risk and Insights, responsible for driving data optimisation, delivering analytical insights, and ensuring data risk assurance across all reward-related systems and processes.

This role is well-suited to a technically proficient and analytically driven professional with a strong background in data management, analytics, and process improvement.

The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of a streamlined, end-to-end data management and risk control framework that supports reward technology, reporting capabilities, and analytics solutions.

For this unique opportunity, we can consider candidates based in either Johannesburg, South Africa or Perth, Western Australia.

What You Will Be Doing

Data Management & Transformation: Design and maintain robust frameworks for processing and transforming reward-related data. Ensure datasets are clean, reliable, and optimized for reporting, modelling, and analysis.

Governance & Risk Mitigation: Maintain high data quality standards by aligning with internal governance policies. Partner with Legal, Risk, and Audit to support compliance and mitigate data-related risks.

Analytics & Modelling: Support the development of custom-built internal tools and reward system technology modules.

Process Optimization & Automation: Identify inefficiencies in reward data workflows and implement automation solutions to improve data accuracy and turnaround time.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and external reporting teams to deliver data-driven insights and ensure timely reporting for audits, regulatory requirements, and business reviews.

What You Will Bring

Tertiary qualification in computer or data science, information systems, or a related field, along with coursework or certifications in data warehousing, database management, and data governance.

While HR or Compensation experience is strongly preferred, a strong background in data management, analytics, and risk assurance is critical for success.

Experience And Technical Skills

Strong experience in managing large datasets, ensuring data integrity, and implementing data quality controls.

Proficient in using data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL) to generate insights and support decision-making.

Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate data and process risks within reward-related systems.

Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP, SuccessFactors), and experience working with reward technologies or compensation modules.

Demonstrated ability to streamline workflows and design scalable, efficient data processes.

Ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives with teams across HR, IT, Finance and Audit
