Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

The Digital Platform Tech Lead is a senior technical leader responsible for a set of Digital Online Platforms.

This role owns architectural and design decisions for the team/squad. The Senior Tech Lead (STL) acts as both an executor and visionary, guiding technical solutions. The STL values simplicity and challenges technical constraints to achieve an Agile design.

The STL collaborates with team members to create modular, scalable solutions that accommodate future architectural changes.

The STL promotes engineering practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment. They are hands-on and actively coach the team to solve complex problems. MTN digital services are a significant revenue stream for MTN South Africa.

The business unit aims to develop platforms leveraging existing connectivity to foster an ecosystem that drives local innovation.

MTN South Africa seeks a qualified candidate with skills in digital strategy, engagement, content curation, and technical integration to support business process re-engineering and operational improvements.

The Senior Technical Lead will serve as a strategic digital IT support, helping define and deliver programs based on customer insights, industry focus, and business transformation experience.

A key focus is creating, maintaining, and operating new digital platforms and technologies to deliver products and services efficiently.
