Job summary

Betway Group is seeking a Senior SOX Control Analyst to lead risk assessment, design robust controls, and drive continuous improvement across its global operations. You will partner with stakeholders to ensure effective governance, documentation, and timely remediation of control deficiencies.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in SOX/compliance, strong Excel and data skills, and a track record in listed or multinational environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 6+ years’ experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or financial controls.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong understanding of SOX and COSO frameworks.
• Experience in a listed or multinational environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Project Management - managing multiple stakeholders, timelines, and audit deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess key financial reporting risks, including risks arising from digital platforms and payments.
• Lead or actively drive annual SOX scoping and risk assessment exercises.
• Design and implement controls aligned to COSO principles and assess adequacy of existing control structures.
• Drive continuous improvement of the SOX control framework and integrate controls into new systems or processes.
• Perform proactive quality assurance reviews of key processes and controls to ensure proper design and operation.
• Assess SOX implications of changes due to accounting or regulatory updates, system implementations, or restructuring.
• Collaborate with Internal and External Audit during walkthroughs, testing, and audits; own responses to audit queries.
• Prepare and maintain SOX documentation, including narratives, flowcharts, RACMs; support governance and reporting.
