Senior Sous Chef – Catering Company | Somerset West

Salary : R25,000 – R28,000 per month (Negotiable DOE)

Allowance : R1,500 cellphone allowance per month

Schedule : 5 Days on / 2 Days off

A leading catering company based in Somerset West is seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled culinary professional to grow within a dynamic environment while supporting a Head Chef.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes for a variety of events
  • Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff with patience and professionalism
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and compliance with food safety regulations
  • Support menu planning and execution for both regular catering and special events
  • Travel regularly to Cape Town venues as required
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a catering company environment
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence and own transport
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to train junior staff effectively
