Job summary

GEP Worldwide in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Associate, Consulting (Senior Sourcing Lead) to join multi-phase engagements in procurement and supply chain. You will work with client teams on strategy, data analysis and implementation, traveling to client sites as needed.

You will develop project management and client management skills, collaborate across Europe and globally, and help deliver tangible savings and improved operations.

• Develop fact-based, data-driven, creative solutions for complex projects.
• Conduct successful negotiations with suppliers and stakeholders to create an optimal working relationship.
• Liaise with senior colleagues to gain client project buy-in and successfully implement.
• Understand client needs to deliver and gain confidence at the highest levels.
• Work closely with GEP and client teams spread geographically across time zones and cultures.
• Build and shape opportunities to create intellectual capital and expertise to develop internal knowledge.

Role Overview

As a Senior Associate, you will be involved in multiple phases of a consulting engagement, from initial research through final implementation. Almost immediately, you will join a project team, working at a client location, sharing your ideas, solving problems and providing solutions in the areas of procurement and supply chain management. Over the course of your career at GEP, you will continuously build your project management and client management skills, and further develop your communication and presentation abilities. You will work with teams and clients from varied industries across Europe and globally to help develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies and play a key role in client engagement teams that deliver successful business results for the client.
