Job summary

Enablesa (Pty) Ltd seeks an experienced Solutions Engineering Executive to lead and optimise supply chain solutions across inventory, warehousing, production logistics, transportation and fulfilment. You will translate requirements into engineering designs, direct network config and replenishment strategies, and oversee process layouts and resource needs.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in supply chain engineering or similar complex operations.
• Five or more years in senior management leading engineering or multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in RFQ solution development, operating model design, costing and implementation support.
• Practical experience in warehouse and material flow design and productivity analysis.
• Automotive and production logistics exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimisation of supply chain solutions across inventory, warehousing, production logistics, transportation, distribution and fulfilment.
• Translate customer and business requirements into practical supply chain strategies and engineering designs.
• Provide direction on network configuration, inventory positioning and replenishment strategies.
• Oversee design of operational processes, layouts, capacity, labour and equipment requirements.
• Ensure physical processes, information flows and technology form a coherent operating solution.
• Evaluate alternative operating models for cost, service, flexibility, scalability and risk.
• Identify constraints and opportunities affecting feasibility or performance.
• Lead engineering contributions to discovery, feasibility studies, proposals, RFQs and renewals.
• Establish scope, operating concept and engineering deliverables early in development.
• Challenge incomplete requirements and unrealistic commitments before design.
• Direct analysis level for decisions, balancing accuracy and timelines.
• Manage priorities, milestones, resources, risks and dependencies.
• Review and validate designs, productivity assumptions and equipment selection.
• Provide technical assurance before submission and implementation.
• Support implementation planning, testing, readiness, launch and stabilisation.
• Transfer approved designs to implementation teams and operations.
• Review design changes and assess cost implications.
• Incorporate lessons from implementation into future development.
• Support Business Development in assessing opportunities and requirements.
• Provide technical leadership in workshops and proposal discussions.
• Develop and evaluate options balancing value, feasibility and financial sustainability.
• Own engineering assumptions and cost model inputs.
• Lead or coordinate solution costing with Finance.
• Ensure cost models reflect operating design including labour, equipment and facilities.
