Overview

RANGR Data is a US-based advanced data engineering and analytics consulting firm, and a certified partner of Palantir. We help clients implement and support the most advanced data operations platform: Palantir Foundry.

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer at RANGR Data, you will lead the development and deployment of BI and data solutions, leveraging Palantir's Foundry platform to support and implement solutions. This position requires a combination of data, BI, and client engagement skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize data solutions and applications using Palantir Foundry.
• Implement dashboards and applications to solve client needs.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored data solutions.
• Take ownership of client engagements and solutions to ensure clients love what we deliver.
• Provide data leadership and troubleshoot complex data-related issues.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and development of delivery practices at RANGR Data.
• Deliver professional communication to clients and team members.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, IT, Commerce or related field.
• 3 to 10 years of experience in providing data analytics or BI solutions.
• Proficiency in PowerBI, Tablueau or QLIK will be considered an advantage.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
• Ability to work with engineers to solve technical problems.

Time Zone Availability

Since you will primarily be supporting our US-based clients, you will be expected to be available by email and Microsoft Teams to respond to client requests that are time sensitive, between 2pm and 10pm South Africa time. Most days we do not anticipate that there will be late requests. Your actual work hours (40 hours per week) may differ from these times according to when you prefer to work your hours. However, RANGR Data will need to ensure your time zone difference does not impact the performance of our services.
