Job summary

Confluence in Cape Town, South Africa, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our core engineering teams. You will work on a multi-tenant, enterprise platform used by institutional clients, contributing across a modern stack with React, .NET, Python, and SQL Server.

You will design and build features, maintain architectural standards, and ensure performance at scale, while also contributing to CI/CD and deployment processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in full stack software development.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET backend development.
• Experience building web applications using React or similar frameworks.
• Experience with databases (SQL Server or similar).
• Understanding of modern architecture approaches (clean architecture, layered systems, CQRS).
• Experience debugging across multiple layers and working in Agile environments.
• Comfortable contributing to CI/CD and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and build features across the application in a multi-tenant, enterprise platform.
• Maintain architectural standards and ensure performance and reliability at scale.
• Contribute to CI/CD and deployment processes while focusing on product improvement.
