Job summary

Communicate Finance seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join cross-functional, agile teams and deliver exceptional mobile experiences built with Flutter.

You will mentor developers, contribute to code reviews, and design scalable, high-performance apps for iOS and Android using Dart, RESTful APIs, and modern state management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ mobile application development experience.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work within cross-functional agile teams, partnering with developers, designers, product managers, and technical leaders to deliver exceptional mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining mobile applications using Flutter
• Developing scalable, clean, and efficient code
• Collaborating with designers and product teams to deliver new features and enhance existing functionality
• Ensuring applications are optimised for performance, stability, and user experience
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical challenges
• Mentoring and guiding intermediate and junior software engineers
• Participating in code reviews and driving engineering best practices
• Working closely with UI, frontend, backend, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Contributing to Agile ceremonies including planning sessions, stand-ups, and delivery reviews
• Performing unit and integration testing
• Championing software craftsmanship and Test-Driven Development principles
• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies, frameworks, and development trends

Qualification:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience will be advantageous.
