BASIC FUNCTIONS:

This position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. This position performs software design — typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

SKILLS:

• Be expert in development languages, including but not limited to: C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular 2, SQL, Cyprus
• Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.
• Strong research skills.
• Strong knowledge in industry best practices in development
• Knowledge of test-driven development
• Good oral and written communications skills.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Providing design input across a product
• Acting as an acknowledged 'go to' person on coding and technical issues
• Interfacing with other technical personnel and product owners to finalize requirements and estimations
• Completing complex bug fixes, and resolving technical issues
• Designing and working with complex data models
• Mentoring software developers with best practices and providing guidelines
  Keep abreast of new technology developments.
• Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
