Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Bloemfontein to lead the design, development, and deployment of robust software solutions. You will own features, influence architecture, and collaborate closely with product managers and other engineers in a structured, agile setting.

The role requires a strong background in modern programming languages (Java/C#/Python/Go), solid CS fundamentals, and 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Go).
• Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and API development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications.
• Write clean, well-documented, thoroughly tested code.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software for performance and stability.
