Job summary

ShopriteX in South Africa is seeking a Senior Software Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications. You will work across SDLC with architects and product teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions in a production environment.

You will lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while supporting deployments and after-hours when required. Strong troubleshooting, deep .NET expertise, and experience with REST, SOAP, SQL Server are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Security training including OWASP Top 10.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise software solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and architectures.
• Develop clean, secure code using modern practices and produce technical specs and documentation.
• Drive adherence to engineering standards, QA processes, and SDLC collaboration.
• Mentor Engineers and lead code reviews; contribute to best practices.
