Teybridge Capital is an alternative finance business that provides working capital solutions to companies internationally. We build and run our own technology to deliver these services, and we are growing our engineering capability to support an ambitious product roadmap.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to take a central, hands‑on role in building and evolving our platform. This is a broad, high‑ownership position: you will design and deliver features end to end, make sound technical decisions in a complex financial domain, and work closely and at pace with the wider team. As the role is remote, we are accepting applications from candidates from across the globe.
Because our platform handles financial movements and sensitive data, the quality bar is high. We care most about how you reason about correctness, concurrency, data integrity, security and production readiness, not simply whether code runs. You will need to learn a complex domain quickly and apply strong engineering judgement across everything you build.
We expect you to work in a modern, AI‑assisted way. Using AI tools to accelerate development is a core part of how we operate, and we want someone who can use those tools responsibly, challenging their output, identifying risks, and applying their own engineering judgement rather than accepting generated code uncritically.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build: design and deliver high-quality, modular, maintainable and well-tested software across the stack, from API to user interface.
- Solve real problems: translate business requirements in a complex financial domain into robust, scalable technical solutions.
- Own correctness: take responsibility for correctness, concurrency and data integrity in code that handles financial data and money.
- Build securely: apply secure development practices, considering access control, input validation, data protection and common web application risks.
- Test your work: write meaningful unit and integration tests, and collaborate closely with QA to ensure features are well covered.
- Review and mentor: take part in code reviews, uphold engineering standards, and provide informal mentorship to less experienced developers.
- Think about production: consider observability, resilience, deployment and maintainability, not just the happy path.
- AI-assisted productivity: use AI tooling to work faster, always reviewing and validating what the tools produce.
- Collaborate: work as part of a distributed team, coordinate with others to integrate systems, manage your own time and communicate progress clearly.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Commercial experience: significant commercial experience building .NET web applications, including complex, business‑critical systems.
- Core stack: strong hands‑on experience with C# and ASP.NET Core, building and consuming REST APIs. Comfortable working with AJAX, MVC, MVVM, JSON, XML, CSS.
- Data access: solid experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server) and an ORM such as Entity Framework Core.
- Engineering judgement: a demonstrable ability to reason about correctness, concurrency, financial data, security, testing and maintainability.
- Analytical ability: proven capacity to grasp a complex domain quickly, handle ambiguity, and make sound technical decisions.
- Security awareness: a working understanding of secure development and common web application risks such as the OWASP Top 10.
- AI-assisted working: practical experience using AI tools to improve productivity, with the judgement to challenge and validate their output.
- Ways of working: comfortable in small, agile teams with frequent releases; strong problem‑solving in an OOP context; good working knowledge of Git.
- Communication: a strong communicator and team player, with excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Domain exposure: experience building financial services, fintech, payments or other regulated, transaction‑heavy platforms.
- Cloud: experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- CI/CD: experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Third‑party integrations: experience integrating with external services such as payments, identity or messaging providers.
What We Offer
- Fully remote: this is a remote role, and we welcome applications from talented individuals across the globe.
- A strong learning environment: the opportunity to work on a complex platform and continually develop your skills, including in AI‑assisted development.
- Competitive pay: competitive wages that reflect your experience and contribution depending on your location.
- Flexible working: flexibility in how and when you work, built around trust and delivery.
- Room to grow: genuine scope to expand your responsibilities and grow within the role as the team develops.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first few months you will have built a strong mental model of the product, delivered meaningful features end to end, and become a trusted engineer who helps the team ship complex work with confidence, at pace, and without compromising on correctness, security or maintainability.
Assessment Process
We will be reviewing applications through August and will reach out to candidates for interviews in early September, with an aim to hire by the end of September / early October.
We are expecting a high volume of applicants so it will not be possible for us to provide you with personalized messages if you are unsuccessful.
As part of our process, shortlisted candidates complete a short, practical technical assessment (approximately three to four hours) designed to reflect how modern developers actually work. It focuses on your reasoning, technical judgement and how you use AI tools and not on producing a large codebase.
