Requirements & Experience

Only applicants with:

• A relevant four-year or three-year Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Electronic/Software Engineering or Computer Science will be considered.
• 5-12 years of working experience as a software engineer will be considered.

Development skills can include a combination of:

In-depth knowledge of:

• Working with JSON and XML
• Working with databases SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), Timeseries DBs (InfluxDB), and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cosmos DB)
• Source control

Working knowledge of:

• Setting up Cloud Services, Storage Accounts, API apps, WEB apps, API management services, cloud functions, Logic Apps
• Building RESTful APIs
• Setting up and maintaining Kubernetes clusters
• Application security (SSL/TLS, key vault)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of applications for Hatch's clients in heavy industry.
• Lead design and architecture investigations.
• Manage delivery of Hatch software and applications, being accountable for the full software development lifecycle and carrying accountability for the full scope, time, cost, and quality.
• Update, maintain, and improve the software delivery process.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to development team members.
• Review and prepare relevant user and technical documentation.
• Mentor and coach junior software engineers and developers.
• Facilitate collaboration and communication within and outside of your team to continually improve the process of software delivery.
• Remain abreast of technology developments within fields relevant to current and future initiatives and development work.
• Be a team player who works well in a team environment with shared code, disciplined use of source control, and process documentation, and who is confident escalating issues and blockers when necessary.
• Work with great people to make a difference.
• Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions.
