Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Developer for our fintech client in Sandton. You will design, develop, and deploy backend services and APIs, leveraging modern languages and cloud technologies to build scalable financial applications.

Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams; mentor juniors; drive code quality and security; contribute to best practices; hybrid work model with flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, backend focus.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C#, with relevant frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and distributed systems.
• FinTech or financial services experience is a major plus.
