Job description

• Be a Lead Architect / Developer, responsible for the guiding the migration of outdated applications to a modern environment.
• To excel in working with distributed applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.

Minimum Job Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related field) :
• Minimum 10+ years working experience, within the Supply Chain / Logistics industry.
• Proven experience with :

C# and .Net Core

• SQL (Microsoft SQL Server) procedures, triggers, functions, views
• Containerised development
• Excel
• Experience in developing reliable modern applications using Microsoft tools.

Experience with the following is a strong advantage :

• Visual Basic .Net
• Team Foundation Server or GIT
• Xamarin and MAUI development
• ASP.Net and MVVC web applications
• Crystal Reports
• SQL Server Analysis Services and Integration Services
• Microsoft Biztalk and EDI concepts

Associated Tasks :

Report to the IT Executive :

• Guide the automation of the build and deploy pipelines in Azure DevOps Services for existing, Net Framework applications.
• Plan the migration of on-premises .Net Framework applications to a containerised architecture in the cloud.
• Prototype the re-architectured applications.
• Project management and lead the development project for the re-architectured applications.
• Guide the Development team in implementing best-practice for development; and in other development needs, e g. scheduled and adhoc Reporting, Business Intelligence, e-Commerce, etc.
• Review code developed for the re-architected environment.
• Assist in the development of mobile applications.
• Ability to multitask, organise, and prioritise.
• Excellent skills in troubleshooting and debugging across multiple environments.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Self-motivated
• Demonstrated team player.
