Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Architect in Vereeniging to define and guide the technical direction of the product portfolio. You will design robust, scalable, and secure architectures and collaborate with engineering, product, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with long-term goals.

The role requires strong expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure), with leadership across the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years in a software architect role.
• Experience designing scalable distributed systems and cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Design and document high-level software architecture, including system components, interfaces, and data flows.
• Evaluate and select technologies and tools to meet project requirements for scalability and maintainability.
