Role: Senior Social Media Manager (12 months FTC)

Location: Centurion, South Africa

About the role:

Working onsite closely with our client, the Social Media Manager builds, engages, and proactively supports a social community through all key channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and supports the main campaigns each year. The role is responsible for providing strategic, best-in-class advice to the client and agency teams, writing/creating beautiful and engaging social content, and managing the client on BAU briefs.

What you will be doing:

Collaborate closely with the client and be responsible for Brand Guardianship as the Steward of their online personality, driving dialogue with consumers, managing your own projects for BAU social communications, building, engaging, and proactively supporting a social community through all key channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and supporting main campaigns. The role involves providing strategic advice, creating engaging social content, managing influencer relationships, reposting, and publishing content that aligns with the brand, with an emphasis on brand ambassadorship.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Sound knowledge of digital and social media management, development of social and digital paid media strategies, content planning, and content direction.
  • Development of competitor analysis and case studies.
  • Strong knowledge of Meta, TikTok, and YouTube platforms.
  • Excellent client engagement skills, with the ability to proactively organize and influence clients and build strong working relationships.
  • Strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to manage client expectations effectively.
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for content creation and help clients achieve business goals.
  • Experience with content measurement and testing.
  • Excellent written communication skills to develop the brand voice.
