Job summary

Red Interactive, part of Super Group, is seeking a Senior Social Media Designer in Cape Town to craft visually compelling motion content for social channels. You will unite strong design skills with an understanding of trends to create engaging graphics, animations and multimedia content that enhances brand identity and drives audience engagement.

You’ll own the end-to-end motion design process—from concept to final export—collaborating with social strategists, copywriters and performance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in social media design.
• Proficient in motion graphics and short-form content.
• Strong knowledge of platform specs (Reels, Shorts, etc).
• Experience with AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and production of high-quality, short-form motion content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts, Stories, paid social video).
• Conceptualize and execute motion-first creative aligned to campaigns and always-on strategies.
• Combine traditional tools with AI-driven tools to scale creative output.
• Translate brand, campaign, and insights into engaging, platform-native storytelling.
• Own the end-to-end motion design process, from concept to final export.
• Collaborate with social strategists, community teams, copywriters, and performance marketers.
• Optimize creative for platform algorithms and KPIs (engagement, conversions).
• Build modular templates, toolkits, and motion systems for speed and consistency.
