Job summary

Afrocentric IP is seeking a SOC Analyst to deepen investigation and response to cybersecurity incidents escalated from L1. The role centers on incident analysis, threat validation, and containment actions to protect critical assets.

You will work within the Information Security Management Systems Business Unit, leveraging SIEM, log analysis, and threat intelligence to detect, triage, and escalate incidents for rapid resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, IT security, or related field.
• 4–6 years in IT security, network engineering and 24/7 SNOC/SOC environments.
• Background in network engineering is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise security and monitoring platforms.

Responsibilities

• Investigate cybersecurity incidents escalated from L1 and provide response.
• Analyze incidents, validate threats and determine containment actions.
• Coordinate with SOC teams to implement remediation and learn from events.
