The role requires a strong background in cosmetic chemistry or formulation science, 7+ years in skincare development, and a proven track record of launching innovative products while ensuring regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on skincare formulation development experience.
• Strong background in cosmetic ingredients and manufacturing processes.
• Experience launching skincare products from concept to commercialization.
• Regulatory knowledge for SAHPRA and international markets.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation and development of skincare products (creams, lotions, serums, cleansers, masks).
• Research materials, actives, and new formulation tech.
• Optimize formulations for performance, stability, and cost.
• Design bench-scale and scale-up trials with pilot batches.
• Conduct stability testing and performance evaluations.
• Prepare technical documentation and manufacturing specs.
• Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, and Manufacturing.
