Salary: R45 – 55 000 CTC per month

Job Description

Seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee national shopfitting projects from initiation through to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail or commercial shopfitting, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams, subcontractors, and suppliers under tight deadlines. This role involves both on-site and office-based responsibilities and requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 7–10 years experience in site/project management within the shopfitting or interior fit-out industry
• Strong knowledge of retail construction and fixture installation processes
• Proven experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors across locations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites nationwide
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic project management software (e.g., MS Project or similar)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people management skills
• Health & Safety certification or compliance knowledge advantageous

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all on-site activities from handover to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards
• Coordinate with project managers, draftsmen, production teams, and clients to ensure smooth execution
• Supervise subcontractors and internal teams during installation, ensuring work is completed to spec and within deadlines
• Conduct site inspections, measure progress, and report on milestones and potential delays
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
• Monitor material deliveries, equipment use, and stock levels on-site
• Address and resolve any technical or logistical issues during project execution
• Compile site reports, sign-off documentation, and snag lists
• Act as main contact between the site and head office teams
