Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Civil Site Engineer in Mahikeng to supervise and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and design compliance. You will coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and the design team to resolve technical challenges and maintain project timelines.

Ideal candidates have a civil engineering degree and at least 3 years of site supervision experience, with strong communication and leadership skills to drive quality outcomes on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a site engineer or in a similar construction supervision role.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and site management practices.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills for on-site challenges.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily construction activities on civil engineering sites.
• Ensure construction work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies on site.
• Conduct quality control checks and testing of materials and workmanship.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and manage site records.
• Coordinate with the project manager, design team, and contractors to address site issues and technical queries promptly.
