Job summary

Eastern Personnel is seeking a SHERQ Manager to lead safety, health, environment, risk and quality programs across warehouses, distribution, retail and operations. You will report to the COO and CFO, guiding a multi-site team and ensuring 100% legal compliance with SA laws and ISO standards.

The role requires strategic leadership, proactive risk management, and hands-on operational oversight across nationwide facilities, with a strong governance focus.

Qualifications

• Matric with a Diploma/Degree in safety or related field.
• SAMTRAC certification and ISO audit experience.
• 5–7 years SHERQ management across multi-site warehousing/logistics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and govern SHERQ strategy across sites.
• Oversee OHSA compliance and risk assessments.
• Oversee contractor onboarding and safety files.
• Maintain ISO systems and environmental controls.
• Manage SHERQ budget and resources.
• Lead and develop SHERQ team.
