Job summary

Recruit-It is seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to lead security operations and monitoring across infrastructure, cloud platforms, endpoints, networks and applications. You will design and implement controls across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Windows and Linux, implement MFA, PAM, EDR, DLP and security automation, and continuously evaluate new security technologies.

Key duties include vulnerability management, incident response, risk assessments, policy development and guidance

Qualifications

Matric with 10 years' work experience or a bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or analytical related field.
Seven or more years of ICT experience.
Five or more years of cybersecurity experience.
Experience managing enterprise security technologies, incident response and threat investigation.

Responsibilities

Monitor security events across infrastructure, cloud platforms, endpoints, networks and applications.
Investigate security alerts and incidents.
Perform threat hunting and root cause analysis.
Maintain and enhance SIEM and security monitoring capabilities.
Coordinate incident response activities and post-incident reviews.
Develop and maintain security playbooks and response procedures.
Manage vulnerability scanning programmes and coordinate remediation with ICT teams.
Review security designs and approve security standards.
Promote security awareness and guide technical and business teams.
