Job description

We are recruiting for a Senior Security Architect role.

Key responsibilities :

1. Develop and maintain the security architecture frameworks, reference models, standards, principles, and guidelines in line with the organisation's enterprise architecture and ICT strategy.
2. Monitor compliance and implementation of the security architecture as per the approved design.
3. Research and stay abreast of the threat landscape and latest developments to mitigate cybersecurity risks, ensuring they are addressed in security strategies and architecture artifacts.
4. Establish and maintain an inventory of security controls and mechanisms, classifying them according to the security reference model.
5. Develop security strategy plans and roadmaps based on sound enterprise architecture practices.
6. Review security technologies, tools, and services; make recommendations based on security, financial, and operational metrics.
7. Act as an advisor within the organisation to ensure adherence to security architecture principles, standards, patterns, and guidelines.
8. Provide regular reports on the security landscape and posture, with recommendations for threat mitigation and risk reduction.
9. Validate IT infrastructure and reference architectures for security best practices; recommend enhancements to improve security and reduce risks.
10. Participate in architecture governance to ensure threats, vulnerabilities, and risks are considered, with appropriate mitigation measures.
11. Provide technical guidance, oversight, coaching, and mentoring on security architecture to team members.
12. Guide service providers, contracted resources, and internal staff on architecture and security control integration.
13. Govern and track the implementation of security roadmaps.
14. Establish collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
15. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely delivery of work and management of SLAs.

Required qualifications and experience :

• Diploma or degree in information technology, plus professional certifications in architecture and security (e.g., TOGAF, Cloud Certifications, Azure, CEH, Security).
• At least five years of experience as a Senior Security Architect, with expertise in:

security architecture principles, policies, standards, risk assessments, threat modeling, IAM, data security, network and application security, cloud security, endpoint security, incident response, regulatory compliance, cyber resilience, BCP, ZTA blueprint.
