Overview

Job Title: Senior Scrum Master
Experience : 7+ Years
Work Mode: Hybrid

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Scrum Master with a strong background in Agile delivery and the SAFe Framework, specifically within the Life Insurance domain. This role demands a strategic leader who can coach teams, manage complex programs, and engage with executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in project management, Agile transformation, and enterprise-level coordination, with a proven ability to deliver results in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies across multiple teams, ensuring alignment and delivery consistency.
• Lead Scrum of Scrums and support Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in accordance with SAFe principles.
• Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile practices, Lean thinking, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, and other Scrum Masters to manage dependencies and optimize flow.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation using Microsoft Project and other PM tools.
• Prepare and present CIO-level reports, executive dashboards, and strategic updates for senior leadership.
• Drive Agile maturity and transformation initiatives across the organization.
• Engage with Steering Committees to support governance, decision-making, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure delivery excellence in compliance with regulatory standards specific to the Life Insurance industry.
• Identify and resolve impediments, manage risks, and foster a culture of accountability and transparency.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience in the Life Insurance sector is required, with understanding of domain-specific processes and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of SAFe Framework, Agile Release Trains, and Lean-Agile principles.
• Certified in Scrum of Scrums, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent Agile certifications.
• Solid foundation in Project Management principles – scope, time, cost, and resource management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience preparing executive-level reports and managing senior stakeholder communications.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, or related field; Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) or Agile certifications preferred.
• NQF-aligned qualifications, Master’s Degree or Postgraduate Diploma is a plus.
