About the job Senior SAP BW Business Analyst

Key purpose:
Our company is currently on the hunt to acquire a new Senior SAP BW Business Analyst. The Senior Business Analyst will be joining our team.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain reports in BW Bex Analyzer as requested by the business.
2. Resolve calls as logged on service management system within agreed SLA.
3. Monitor for and resolve technical SAP BW errors.
4. Provide End-user support.
5. Perform integrity checks and reconciliations to resolve any user queries.
6. Manage and coordinate IT related business projects.
7. Drive Continuous Business Improvement (CBI) initiatives.
8. Act as Super user for Company End-users.
9. Channel all system enhancement requests through the Business Analyst who draws up functional specification documents, designs the solution and implements the development work through to execution and user acceptance.
10. New report development in SAP BW/BI.
11. Create / Maintain BW Info Providers and objects across the following SAP modules: SD, MM, FI, CO, CRM and other external systems. Prior knowledge of these SAP source items is helpful.
12. General housekeeping including DB size management and PSA maintenance.
13. SAP BW System Monitoring & Administration.
14. Performance tuning of reports and data providers.
15. Information Broadcasting (Workbooks & Web Templates).
16. Measure and test the impact of any transports in ECC on BW.
17. Conduct integrity checks and reconciliations to validate BW data vs. SAP ECC.
18. Draw up business process flow charts.
19. Manage and execute BW system upgrades.
20. Conduct end user training on existing and new BW reports.
21. Create and maintain user training manuals.
22. Determine and implement roadmap and best practices for BW and BI environment.
23. Work with internal teams on Microsoft PowerBI integration and streamline reporting and datasets.
24. PowerBI knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications and experience:

1. Relevant IT/Business educational qualification (BSC, BCOM Degree/ IT Diploma).
2. Must be computer literate (MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
3. Extensive experience (at least 2 years) in SAP BW development, design and administration including ABAP.
4. Must have 2 years business analysis experience.
5. High skill level in Business Intelligence and Reporting with particular focus on SAP BW BEX.
6. Exposure to various SAP data sources is advantageous.
7. Development in other BI tools including MS PowerBI is advantageous.
8. Experience in an FMCG environment.
9. Excellent understanding of sales and logistics execution processes.
10. Knowledge of management principles and practices.
11. Excellent business process and system analysis skills.
