Placements24 is seeking a Senior Sanitation Technician to join our client’s operations in Port Elizabeth, ensuring top hygiene and safety standards. You will lead complex sanitation tasks, operate specialized equipment, and drive continuous improvement in sanitation processes.

The role requires extensive experience with industrial cleaning equipment, strong safety knowledge, and the ability to mentor junior staff while maintaining stringent environmental protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in sanitation or similar role.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining industrial cleaning equipment.
• Strong knowledge of chemical handling and SDS.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina for demanding tasks in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced cleaning and sanitation on equipment and facilities.
• Operate and maintain industrial cleaning machinery including high-pressure washers and chemical sprayers.
• Develop and implement detailed cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Train and mentor junior sanitation staff on techniques and safety.
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
