A leading logistics company seeks a dynamic senior-level Sales Representative to build the external sales function. The ideal candidate will drive new business acquisition across various sectors, managing the sales cycle and reporting to senior leadership. With a focus on strategic business development, this role requires strong logistics knowledge and proven sales success.
Red Ember Recruitment is looking for a senior-level Sales Representative on behalf of a well-established international logistics company that provides end-to-end in-house logistics solutions, including warehousing, storage, shipping (sea 90%, air 10%), and customs clearance.
The company currently manages logistics operations for a major multinational electronics brand and is now expanding its customer base.
To support this growth, they need a dynamic, results-driven individual to build and lead the external sales function from scratch, driving new business acquisition and increasing profitability across various industries.
Duties :
Independently identify target markets and secure new logistics clients across various sectors.
Develop and implement a strategic business development plan aligned with company goals.
Penetrate markets requiring services such as import / export, customs clearance, warehousing, and transport.
Build and manage a personal sales pipeline, reporting directly to senior leadership.
Deliver detailed progress reports and data-driven updates using advanced Excel tools (pivot tables, formulas, graphs, VLOOKUPs, what-if scenarios).
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing contracts and post-sales follow-up.
Represent the company professionally at networking events and client meetings.
Requirements
Senior-level experience in logistics or supply chain sales with a proven record of closing deals and exceeding targets.
Existing market presence and industry network within relevant sectors (e.g., construction, engineering).
Ability to work autonomously with no preexisting leads or sales support.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Outlook, and other MS Office tools.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt, take initiative, and deliver results independently.
Deep understanding of logistics services, especially sea and air freight, customs processes, and warehousing.
