Our mission is to improve the reliability of the cold chain across emerging markets, and we are now expanding our presence in Southern Africa.

Role Overview

We are looking for a high-performing Senior Sales Executive to lead the growth of our customer base in Southern Africa, with a strong focus on South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the sales of our temperature monitoring sensors and related software to exporters of perishable goods (such as fruits, vegetables, and seafood) as well as local companies handling temperature-sensitive products (such as pharmaceuticals, dairy, and frozen foods).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow Figorr’s footprint in Southern Africa, especially within South Africa.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities with perishable goods exporters and local businesses requiring cold chain monitoring.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing deals.
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the target industries.
• Collaborate with the product and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions for customers.
• Provide regular market intelligence and customer feedback to inform Figorr’s go-to-market and product strategies.
• Represent Figorr at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings across the region.

Requirements

• Must be resident in South Africa with the ability to travel across the Southern Africa region.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in a similar industry — preferably selling cold chain monitoring tools, IoT solutions, or logistics technology.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Deep understanding of the export and local logistics ecosystems for perishable goods in Southern Africa.
• Strong network among exporters, logistics providers, cold chain operators, or pharmaceutical distributors.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
